CORNISH BLUE

Cornish Blue Cheese – Designed to be eaten as a young cheese, Cornish Blue is a very different product from traditional English blue cheeses such a Stilton or Dorset Blue Vinney. Moist, sticky, Gorgonzola-ish and generally rather wonderful, Cornish Blue is made by Philip and Carol Stansfield with milk from their own farm which sits on the edge of Bodmin Moor.

The Cornish Cheese Company beat 2,600 entries from 26 countries to win the prestigious title.

Cornish Blue is a vegetarian, pasteurised, cows’ milk cheese which is dry salted by hand before being left to mature for between 12 and 14 weeks. Designed to be eaten as a young cheese, Cornish Blue is a very different product from traditional English blue cheeses.
