Cheeses of Muswell Hill is a 31 year old family run business that believes in high quality, handmade produce. We are a maturer, retailer, wholesaler and exporter of farmhouse and artisan cheeses. We champion small dairies and producers and we always try to buy direct.

Choose from 230 different kinds of cheese, ranging from delicious farmhouse Montgomery cheddar to divine Pyrenees’s goat’s cheese.

We research and source all of our cheeses, chutneys and biscuits carefully and in some cases source locally as well.

Where

The Cheeses shop is a beautiful yet tiny shop tucked away amongst the chic boutiques of Muswell Hill, and was opened by Brian in 1982 then owned by Vanessa and is now in the loving hands of Morgan who is committed to keeping Cheeses going for the next 28 years.

Why

Our philosophy is simple, we would like everyone to love cheese as much as we do and we believe that the way to achieve this is through sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm with our customers and introducing hand made cheeses to as many people as possible.

We welcome all our customers visiting us, asking for advice, tasting our cheeses and experiencing our friendly atmosphere and good, old fashioned customer service.

Cheeses of Muswell Hill is owned by Morgan McGlynn, a judge at both the British and World Cheese Awards. Morgan is committed to the survival of traditional cheese-making practices, and, to introducing the very best farmhouse cheeses to the world. Morgan is the cheese expert on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and the author of two cheese books including the best-selling The Modern Cheesemaker. Morgan's love of cheese extends beyond these shores. We also import artisan cheeses from France, Italy, Spain and Holland. We source the best of the best and bring them directly to your door step

First generation
